Craft Area

Chrissy came over on Saturday, and gave me some free time, so I decided to start a project I've been thinking about for a while. I've started gathering all the craft supplies that have been scattered all over the house, and put them all in one spot by the table downstairs. Now, if we want to paint, or do crafts, all we have to do is go to the craft table, and it's all there for us. I also don't have to worry about any messes, because it's just the basement. We used it a lot already.
Chrissy and I went to Joanne Fabrics, and then Flower Factory. I got some really cute craft projects and supplies.

Here are some pictures of our Saturday crafts.

What a Day

Yesterday, Gideon was a little angel, so sweet, and content. He ate his full bottles, and wasn't fussy, and slept well....

Todayyyy, was a polar opposite. He was impossible to please, and I found myself crying with him throughout the day, out of frustration. Poor Gabey got a bit of the runnoff too, even though he was being pretty good, just his normal, loud, self.

And today was picture day for the church directory! So, we had to get ready and get pictures taken when Jeffie got home. PTL, they turned out great, and we went to Steak and Shake after, and had a very nice time.

This is Gideon from last night, playing in his new play gym.

I decided to give up on the red eye reduction on my camera, it's sooo annoying, and doesn't really cut down on red eye too much.

I really like these slideshows, they sure save space, lol.

Sunday Christmas Service

I was cheeky and took my camera to the Sunday night service. I was up in the balcony. I got one good picture of the auditorium. I was going to get a picture of the choir when they came up, and I couldn't get any good shots, so I switched the setting, TOTALLY oblivious of the fact that the flash would be on. A Big oops, the flash went off. I was so embarrassed. Luckilly, my one friend who had been in the choir said she didn't notice. LOL.

Here is a pic of our auditorium.

Here is a video of one of the choir songs, Silent Night. I missed the first part.

This is a video of an AWESOME song sung by some of my favorite people.

Pay It Forward

Photobucket
(found a cool graphic for this event on google, lol.)
I'm not sure where this started. I actually traced it back in about 6 people's blogs, and I bet it goes back a long ways before that. I learned about it on a great blog... The Little Red Hen
http://thelittleredhen.typepad.com/my_weblog/
I'm so excited to receive something from her. She's so talented, and cool. So, here is my Pay it Forward offer-

I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF (Pay it forward) exchange. I'm not sure what that gift will be. It will be a surprise! The only thing you have to do in return is to pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. (And you gotta follow through!)

So basically, if you’re one of the first 3 comments, I’ll send you something crafty that I’ll make! Once you sign up, I'll email you to let you know that you are one of the three.

If you want to play along, copy and paste the above paragraph on your blog, and three other lucky people will be recipients of your handmade work.

Pay it Forward!

This is the instruction page on how to use the ezbun. i really like mine, and wanted to show it to you. These instructions are very good. So far, I just do the single bun. I only have one of the ezbuns, and it's tan. My hair was too long for a while to make it look really good, now it's short enough, and I can make a nice easy bun with it, and it is really comfortable.

Gideon's 2 Mo. Exam

Yippeeee. We had our 2 mo. wellness exam this morning, and Gideon was an absolute ANGEL. I was so thankful.
Gabey was always a little wacko at the Dr. He would start screaming from the time we walked in the door.

Gideon only cried when he got his shots, which, I would have been worried if he hadn't, lol. Even then he was able to calm down within minutes. Whew, what a refreshing visit. He's doing just fine, just about in the 50-60 percentile for everything, and on a good growing curve.

Now, we have to go for Gabey's clippy appt. this afternoon. I wish I could give him a sedative beforehand, lol.

Chopped

I have totally pushed my hair to the limit this month. Yikes. It's been like a compulsion. I've been trying to get my old blonde back, and have been just coloring and coloring. It keeps looking too orangy, and now it looks like banana creme pie at the roots. I have to leave it this way for a while, or my hair won't make it. It's been colored 4 times in 2 months, woooaaah. I can't believe I got so nuts. I just didn't want to walk around with orange hair.

Then, I got it into my head to cut it, and man, did I chop it. I like it this way, and it's been fun to style. I pulled it to either side and just started cutting on an angle, and then layered it too. Luckilly, I have wavy hair, so it doesn't really show the chop job, it just looks puffy, LOL.

Ensemble Visit

It was such a sweet surprise to have our church Ensemble visit Christmas Caroling. Shelly dressed in her Mrs. Santa outfit, and they gave us a gift basket. What a wonderful present on a dreary winter night.

Christmas at the Cleveland Clinic

This was so nice of the cool people at the Cleveland Clinic to put together this party for the kids. The place was packed, and all the children looked so happy, and excited. They were getting amazing presents, and seeing their friends, the nurses and doctors. I wasn't there with Gabey when he sat on Santa's lap, so I didn't get to take a picture, wah. He had a good time, and just played with his toys, and with Daddy. I had a field day, running around, giving presents to Gabey's doctors and nurses. I gave some of my photography. I forgot a few people, so I'm going to try to bring in some more for them when we go for our appointment on Thursday.

Happy 2 Month B-day, Gideon

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

December 15th....
Gideon was 2 months old. What a big boy. He's getting really interactive, smiling, and cooing at us, trying to "talk." He's also started grinning at toys now too. Yippee, time to start playing with his toys.

He holds his head up just great, and can push himself up when he's on his tummy. His hands are open now, and he's so cute when he holds our fingers, and blankets. He's discovering his thumb, and is starting to suck on it.

Another new thing is that he's starting to like the swing. I'm glad. He actually likes falling asleep in it. I'm going to bring it to the living room after the Christmas tree is down.

We switched to Enfamil, from Nestle Goodstart. We got a ton of good coupons, and a huge sample from them, so we used it. It was just a blessing. We were almost out of our formula, and were short on money, and it came that day! He's taking it really well, and seems to be doing even better on it. I'm fine with using it, and it's not any more expensive. Plus, we keep getting good coupons.

Last night was his first totally full night sleep! I layed him down at 11pm, and he didn't ask for food until 6:30am!! I had to ask Jeffie if he maybe took care of him while I was sleeping, but it turns out he just slept right through! What a big boy!!

I laughed when I opened the mailbox this morning!
Isn't it so fitting??

Gideon's First Night Away!

Gideon and Gabey had a sleepover at Aunt Chrissy's last night!! It was his first night away (excluding the hospital stay.)

Here he is packed up and ready to go!

I tried to get a picture of Gabey, but he's so ornery that I can hardly ever get a good picture, LOL. He ran out of the room, and all I got was the bags with their sleeping stuff in it. HAHA.

The 20th is my sweety's and my 5 year anniversary! Can you believe it? Well, we tried to have Jeffie get yesterday and today off work, and we arranged with Chrissy to take the kids for the weekend. Wellll, he couldn't get off work, but Chrissy is awesome, and took the kids anyway. She's coming back for the afternoon with them, and then heading off with them to spend tonight at her house again.

You remeber the line in Freaky Friday?
"I wish I could trade places with her, for just one day."
I almost feel like we've traded places. LOL. She has the kids, and I don't. I've been able to sleep a full night. I've been able to take it easy this morning. I took my pain pills, and sat with a heating pad alll morning. It was so nice, not to have to put the pain away, to take care of the kids. I didn't even do anything to the house. I did finish wrapping the gifts Jeffie and I bought last night on our evening out.

Pray that my back finally gets used to this extra strain, somehow. My lower back has given me fits since the baby was born. Plus, catching up on the laundry made my shoulders act up too. I'm tired of this mortal body, and look forward to the time when in my glorified body, I can stop and enjoy being painless.

Patiently waiting for Heaven

I thought I would miss them more, but it's actually just been really nice to take care of me. I'm excited to see them again. I'll also be excited when she takes them back to her house, and Jeffie can go out on our Anniversary date tonight. Jeffie's taking me to the Cheesecake Factory!! OH YEAAAAAHHHH!!!

Holiday Tour

Christmas Tour of Homes
Well, I decided to put up the Tour pictures today.
Welcome to my humble home, a little cluttered, but nicely lived in.

I took pics of the outside lights, and decided to put up the funky one.

I'm going to use some of the photos I took last year of our ornaments, because they're the same this year, lol. Last year, we bulked up our ornament supply with a ton of handmade crafts. It was a ton of fun.

These are some cookie ornaments we made last year. I bet you could find the blog post I made about Gabey and me making them.

Jeffie, and Gabey both helped me make these awesome puzzle ornaments out of foamies.
