Crocus

I'll have to take another walk, and get more pictures. So many more flowers have opened up. These were from about a week ago, when we went to the playground. The house on the corner always has such nice flowers and borders.

Yard Update.

It's been forever. I've been obsessed with Facebook. I get that way with things. I can only focus on one thing at a time, so it's either www.super-babies.com or www.etsy.com or www.facebook.com or here. lol.

It's been a great spring so far. The weather is gorgeous, and we've been getting outside every day, pretty much. I covered some chairs and stuff, with tablecloth, so I could just keep them outside, and we're making one part of the front into a little patio section. It gets a lot of shade, so it will be a nice place to hang out. here are some pics of it. We dug up the ground, and have been using the extra to fill in a huge hole left by the sewer people a few years ago. We couldn't mow it well, it kept getting stuck going up and down the sides, and mowing the ground bald! LOL. We used the border stones to fill around the back by the house where some fo my roses, and stuff are.

Home and Garden Show 08

I got to go to the Home and Garden show twice this year! I'm a lucky girl, lol. We went to my mom, sister, and Shelly, on Thursday for Shelley's birthday. I saw so many things I liked. I didn't bring my camera though. But, on Saturday evening, Jeffie took me again, and we walked around, and had a great time. I only took a few pics, I wish my memory card worked. I'm going to have to get another one, this only taking 20 pics at a time is for the birds, LOL.

I got another flexi8 hairclip, and some dip spices and a dip cooler dish, and salsa. We also got some spaghettie sauce from Stancattos.

We also talked to a guy who does interlocking log houses!! It's absolutely our dream to live farther out in the country, and have a cabin style house.

Photobucket

It was an Italian theme with villas, and everything. I wish I had my manual camera with me, I'll have to remember that for next time. But the lighting is so weird, all the pictures turn out yellowy, and dark. It's so gorgeous to look around there, and to smell all the hyacinths!!

They're Sure Hardy

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I didn't have much energy to work on the yard this year, but here are some flowers and plants that have thrived through drought, weeds, and much neglect.

Gerbera Daisies and Dusty Miller

Hosta, the hardiest of them all

This Lamb's Ear is miraculous, LOL. I actually didn't plant it. I was in the process, and dumped it out of it's container, and then forgot about it. It rooted itself, nicely, and is just awesome looking. HAHA.

The Salvia actually came back after last year. I didn't plant any this year!
I planted celosia, but it's so sad looking, I didn't want to depress you by showing it. HAHA.

These Flowers Must be Made of Gold!

For the price I paid for these flowers, they had better be growing money somehow for me to harvest. ROTFL. I got some of the ones I really wanted though.
I'll show more pictures after I plant them.

A few flats of celosia, and dusty miller, plus some portulaca, and a little Lamb's Ear

Ordered Flowers

I ordered flowers from a cool company called, Burgess. I got some trees, and some perennials, plus some seed packets for sunflowers. They gave free gifts too.
Today, I'm hoping to go to Walmart to buy some annuals to put out front. 'Tis the season to think green.
