Gabey's Birthday Party

we had gabey's birthday party on saturday.it was over my mil's house. she just redid her kitchen, and it was soooo gorgeous!
i forgot my camera, but we had given gabey one of those fisher price cameras, so i got a few pics from that. it's really a cute camera, and it's drop proof, lol. gabey loves taking pics, so we just figured it would be a great gift for him.
it was supposed to be a herbie theme, but i just didn't have the energy to go all out for it, so there weren't really any decorations like i had wanted. i did make a herbie cake, but was soooo disappointed at how it turned out. the cake was tastey, so that's all that mattered, but i messed up the decorating.
first, i didn't let it cool enough, and the cake got stuck in the frosting, then i melted the frosting so it could go on, and had to fridge it to harden the frosting back up. THEN, my biggest mistake came at the very end. i decided to try to do racing stripes, and got out what i thought was cake decorating gel....
it turned out to be food coloring!!!, and i spent 20 minutes brushing and wiping, and just madly working to try to fix my mess. it came out in black looking strips, and then i brushed it, hoping that would spread the color, and it looked gross, so i tried to wipe if off with wet paper towels. YIKES!!!i'm actually glad i forgot my camera, ROTFL. i took pics with gabey's camera, and those are good enough for me. HAHA.
i had just had a rough day, my back's really been bugging me, and hurts most of the time, and i've been dealing with sinus headaches, and a tight jaw. chrissy was so awesome, and came with us. she was the biggest help all day (she always is.) gabey finally napped right about the time i had told linda mom we'd be there, so i just decided to wait til jeff got home from work and let him take us. he had a huge fit when we woke him up to go, and cried and whined for a while on the way there. i got to linda mom's and went up to her bathroom, and just had a good cry. and the rest of the night was nice. we had tacos, and just hung around.
gideon had a crying fit for a while during the party, but i got him calmed upstairs, and then chrissy was so sweet, and came up and relieved me, so i could be there for gabey's cake, and presents.
the only person from my family who could come was my sister, but jeff's family is so awesome, and they all turned up, and made it a really nice party for gabey.
he's been playing with the hot wheels track that he got, and the playdoh stuff (i LOVE the playdoh stuff he got, all kinds of shapes, and one of those cool noodle making things.)
he's eating the cookies that he got from my sister without decorations, lol. it's a decorating kit, but he wanted some of them right away, and has been munching on the plain cookies.

Gabey turned 4 on Sunday. It was a really nice day. Jeff made sure he woke up to a balloon, and card, and we got him the Cars MAC truck to open.

For lunch, we went to Cracker Barrel, and met with Linda Mom and Joe Dad, Chrissy, and Bobby. My parents were under the weather, so weren't able to come.
We're having his birthday party next saturday at Lind Mom's house. I'm looking forward to that. Gabey asked for a Herbie theme, and cake.

All Parent's Birthday Picnic

This is just such a great tradition we have. My mom, and stepdad, dad and stepmom, all have birthdays in July, can you believe it? So last night, Chrissy organized the yearly picnic. Gabey's counts were down again. Jeffie was awesome and stayed home to watch him, so I could go.

I can't believe how good of a time I had. We laughed so hard the whole night.
The food was awesome! We had footlong hotdogs, and Chrissy's awesome macaroni salad, and my Grandma's potato salad (with vinegar, onions, and lettuce). Daddy made a yummy cucumber salad. Plus, Bobby brought watermelon which was a highlight of the evening. It was so juicy, and we were laughing so hard at the chorus of slurps we all were making.

We talked about the Lord, and had some wonderful conversations about our favorite Bible passages, and just had a blast with it.

Chrissy made the most awesome cake! It was a checkered table cloth with a plate of edible hamburgers piled on top, and a line of little M&M ants trailing up to the food!

I had such a great time, my heart was just so full. Thank you, my family! I feel so blessed to have such a tight knit family, and such wonderful times like these.

I'm trying to catch up from the whole week. I've been pregnant, busy, sickly, and just plain lazy, LOL. Here are some pictures of Gabey, of the updated play scenery, and of our birthday outing.

Jeff was folding clothes, and Gabey held up my shirt, and said..."this shirt fits me." so Jeffie let him put it on. LOL.


A birthday present from Jeffie! (We dated at Schlotzskey's, and they sold to a Chipotle, and we haven't been able to go since. Jeffie found one in Willoughby, which is about a 45 min drive.)
We went here for lunch, and I laughed and told him..."You know I'm pregnant, I'm about to bawl right in the restaurant!" It was such a beautiful, romantic surprise.

Us in the park, we brought our game systems. Jeffie got me a Nintendo DS lite for my birthday, and so I let him play my old gameboy, LOL.

A Great Gift!

I woke up on my birthday on Tuesday, and just had to thank God for the gift He gave me in the weather of the day! It was sooo sunny, and we were coatless the whole day!

I had a fantastic day! Jeffie was soo good to me.

Daddy came over and babysat, and Jeffie took me out.
He took me to the thrift store, and I got some cute shirts, and a purse. then he took me to.....
SCHLOTZKY's in Willoughby! I was so surprised! There used to be one by church, and jeffie and i dated there! we were so sad when it closed.
This was just such a sweet surprise.
After that, we stopped at the Rockefeller Greenhouse, and I got some pictures of such nice flowers, and orchids!
Then we just stopped quickly at the park and sat by the creek, before coming home.

I had a horrible headache that night, it had been building a little bit all day. i went to bed early and woke up at around 2 sooo hurting. I tried to take something, and ended up getting sick. So, my sweetie hubby massaged my neck and shoulders at 2 in the morning, so I could finally get back to sleep.

I felt some relief the next morning, and realized it was because it was RAINING. yuck. Then the next day it was snowing, and it has been cold and snowy ever since.
I just thank the Lord for that one beautiful day.

Gabey's Birthday Party

We had such a nice party! I was so glad that it worked out so well! I have some pictures. Jeff's Family, and my family all got to be there, and also my great friend, Angi and her family. Patty Nana was so sweet to get some pictures for me. I didn't really get to use my camera like I wanted. I notice now, that I missed out on getting a picture of my beautiful neice Rain. They stopped by for a little bit, and I was really glad, I can imagine how tired they were, but they made it a point to come, and that means a lot to me.

I tried to get mostly pictures of the kids, since I know a lot of my adult family doesn't really enjoy getting their pictures taken, lol. But, they were there, and I hope they all had a nice time. :):)

Gabey Baby Birthday Boy

3 Years ago today, I was holding a little burrito baby, and wondering how on earth the hospital was going to actually let us walk out the door with him, lol. We knew nothing about taking care of him, really. But, he's been holding his own, lol, and even with our faults, God has taken care of him, and helped him grow to be a wonderful little 3 year old.

I had a very nice birthday. jeffie took the day off and we worked on the house a little bit. it's coming along just fine, and i'm feeling better about it every day i go. i washed the walls and floor of the one room, and swept more. jeffie and my dad tore down the surround, and behind it looked sooo much better than i thought it would! we'll only have to replace the bottom of the drywall, like a foot above the tub all the way around, but the rest looks just fine, clean and dry. yippeeee!

and my good friend, angi, called and had just happened to find a tub refinishing kit on clearance, and so she hid it behind some stuff for me, lol. i was able to go up there and snag the kit for 17.00.

last night, jeff made us tacos for dinner, and we watched "The Heffalump Movie" i definitely want to own that! gabey was jumping around laughing so hard! it was really fun. after gabey went to bed, we watched the most stupid movie ever since "crybaby" it was the "confessions of a teenage drama queen", Dont watch it! i can't believe i watched the whole thing! i was just so bugged. the whole theme was about lying, and making things up, and questioning authority. the clothes were raunchy, and the music and dancing were racy. i shouldn't have watched it.

It's my baby's birthday today! I went into his room with the video camera and sung happy birthday... and in response, he said "out?"
we went shopping today and he got to see two of his favorite aunties, Auntie Chrissy and Auntie Shelly. they had fun with him.
right now, he's just napping, but tonight, i think we're going to go out and celebrate his bday, and tomorrow jeff's family and my family are all coming over for a birthday party.
he's cute, he can say "birthday", and when we ask how old he is, he can say "two!" (sounds more like "teeyoo")
he's our little parrot now, he repeats things over and over like a little broken record player. and he mimics us really well too now. it's funny, jeff and i will be talking in the car, and we'll hear little echoes of the words we're saying from the back seat. lol.
